Sunshine Mission – Los Angeles’s oldest shelter for homeless women

Built as a family home in 1892, it became the Girls’ Collegiate Boarding School in 1915. In 1942 it was turned into the Sunshine Mission, the oldest continuously operating women’s shelter in Los Angeles.
