We are pleased to invite you to attend Children Uniting Nations’ (CUN) 7th Annual D.C. National Conference: “Keeping the Promise to our Children,” taking place this year on July 19th in Washington, D.C.

“Keeping the Promise to our Children” is a day-long forum for policy makers and academics to discuss the impact of federal legislation on America’s children and their future. The D.C. National Conference will be hosted in the Congressional Auditorium of the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center, followed by a star studded award celebration gala in the Pavilion of the Ronald Reagan Building.

The 7th Annual “Keeping the Promise to our Children” D.C. Conference topics and guest speakers will be:

1.) The “National State” of Physical Education in America’s Public Schools

Panelist:
Dr. Mary Jo Sariscsany, Associate Professor at California State University, Northridge & President-elect of the National Association for Sport and Physical Education
Keith Johannes, Chair of the Legislative Committee and State Legislative Analyst at The California Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (CAPHERD)
Dr. Joanie Verderber, President of The California Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (CAPHERD)
Dr. John Ratey, an associate clinical professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and renowned author of SPARK.
Robert Garcia, Founding Director and Counsel of The City Project. He is a civil rights attorney and passionate about the importance of physical education.
