Anahuak Youth Association, The City Project, and Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority hold camp fires there as part of Transit to Trails. The project takes North East Los Angeles youth and their families and friends on fun mountain, beach, and river trips, and offers lessons about water, land, wildlife, cultural history, physical activity, and healthy eating.
