“Los Angeles River - The Future is Now”
The Center will be one of 20 organizations featured at the “Los Angeles River - The Future is Now” campaign launch and poster unveiling. The event is part of the City’s 2005 public outreach campaign to create awareness about the Los Angeles River. The campaign will work towards educating residents living in Los Angeles about the river, and the plan to revitalize it.
The event will take place at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 14, 2005, at the Los Feliz Riverwalk Entrance, 3207 Los Feliz Blvd. For more information on the campaign launch and the Los Angeles River click here.
At the campaign launch the Center will be presenting its vision for Los Angeles of a comprehensive and coherent web of parks, playgrounds, schools, beaches, forests, and transportation that serves diverse users and reflects the cultural urban landscape. The Los Angeles River is an integral part of this vision.
