In addition to the Whittier Narrows listening session, the following America’s Great Outdoor events will take place July 8:

July 8 – Youth Roundtable at Rio de Los Angeles State Park at Taylor Yard

Who: Young people from the Southern California Region

What: A discussion on America’s Great Outdoors

When: Thursday, July 8 from 12:00-2:30pm PST

Where: Rio de Los Angeles State Park at Taylor Yard

This event is hosted by the Department of the Interior (DOI), the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ).

July 8 – America’s Great Outdoors Listening Session at Occidental College

When: Thursday – July 8, 2010, 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Where: Thorne Hall

Occidental College

Who: Senior national and local leaders from US EPA, CEQ, USDA, DOI and DOD will be present to hear your recommendations and to participate in a conversation with you about America’s Great Outdoors.
