Posted: April 21st, 2008

Transit to Trails takes inner city youth and their families and friends on fun mountain, beach, and Los Angeles River trips. The project enriches their education about water, land, wildlife, and cultural history, and the importance of physical activity and healthy eating for life-long health.

Transit to Trails will kick off the 2008 season with a trip to the Native American Chumash site of the Wishtoyo Foundation in Malibu on April 26.

Transit to Trails will visit the Great Wall of Los Angeles along the L.A. River on May 24.

Transit to Trails is a creative partnership between Anahuak Youth Association, The City Project, and the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority (MRCA).
