The City Project provided recommendations for working together on green space and equal justice with General Jackson on January 23, 2013, in Sacramento. These recommendations would help ensure that everyone benefits equally from infrastructure investments in green space and state parks. Recommendations include compliance with equal protection laws and principles that provide equal access to public resources, development and implementation of an equity plan, prioritization of green space projects based on community needs, prioritization of cultural, historical and public art projects, and supporting the proposed National Recreation Area in the San Gabriel Mountains and the expanded National Recreation Area in the Santa Monica Mountains.
