People Over Pollution: Public Health & the Environment Forum Leader @NancyPelosi July 11 2 pm DC The City Project

In response to the relentless assault that this Administration and the Republican Congress has conducted on public health and the environment, the Environmental Message Team (EMT) will host a forum entitled People over Polluters to make the case for strong protections for the environment.

EMT Co-chairs Blumenauer, Huffman, Castor, and McEachin, and Ranking Member Grijalva, will discuss the importance of protections for our air, water, and public lands. The event is hosted by Leader Pelosi and Whip Hoyer. The following witnesses will testify:

  • Trisha and Logan Sheehan, members of the Mom’s Clean Air Force and survivors of chemical air pollution
  • Dr. S. Christy Sadreameli, Pediatrician
  • Peggy Price, veteran and survivor of PFAS drinking water contamination
  • Robert García, Founding Director and Counsel, The City Project

This forum will be held on Wednesday, July 11, at HVC-215 at 2:00 PM in the Capitol.

Members and invited panelists will address and discuss a number of issues that bridge the intersection of the environment and public health, including: clean air, clean water, toxics and pesticides, and public lands and monuments.
